The building itself, which houses the Dauphiné Museum, is worth a close look - a medieval monastery with well-preserved antiquities. In the museum you can view temporary exhibitions.
Fascinating swimming place surrounded by Alpes. To come there get the bus number 15 (Les Arnauds direction) and go until Bois Français stop. The entrance fee is 3,5€ but for students it is 2,5€. Enjoy swimming and some water sports!
At this place you can really be refreshed these hot days. It’s just 20 min walking from bus/tram stop. There you can find caves and waterfalls with refreshing water to stay tuned when it’s more than 30 degree outside 🔥 DM to @stoodo.grenoble insta if you wonna go there!
Grotte les Cuves de Sassenage
Charming museum and house of a French painter Ernest Hébert. Here you can enjoy the paintings of 19th century, take a look at the vintage interiors and spend some time outside in a magnificent jardin with blossoming trees and flowers (instagrammability approved).
Taking bus T92, you can stop at Monteynard or Notre-Dame de Commiers. There after a short walk you can follow old railways, impressive tunnels and open views of the turquoise lake underneath. Follow the link button to see more info about a bus. It’s 4€ one way ticket 👍 It’s no swim area 🏊♂️ ⭕️
This is probably the most popular hiking destination around Grenoble and offers an amazing view over the city and the surrounding mountains including Mont Blanc. Accessible from la Gare by bus T65 (link for the schedule) to stop Saint-Nizier Le village. From there it's 2-3h hike to reach the top.
Take the bus 62 from Nôtre-Dame to the stop Col de Vence (15 min), from there it is a 1,5-2h hike to reach the fortress which offers a breathtaking view over Grenoble and the surrounding mountains.
It's one of the closest hikes from the city!
Also I leave here the link to hiking app, it's useful.
